FCC Kids

Dedicating your child to the Lord is an incredible first faith step for a parent. God says to Jeremiah, "Before I formed you in the womb I knew you, and before you were born I consecrated you." (Jer. 1:5) Your child is a gift from God, and He has great plans for their life. Each year, FCC Kids presents a brand new Bible to all incoming First Graders. A celebration of the Word of God, the children are brought up on stage on a Sunday Morning and presented with an Adventure Bible - a bible designed for and marketed to young children. "I have hidden your Word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." (Psalm 119:11). This is our prayer for each and every child in our ministry!

After a child has chosen to receive God's free gift of salvation through Jesus Christ (Romans 6:23), the next great step of faith they can take is Baptism. Every child who is ready to take this step is encouraged to complete the packet below and return it to the FCC office. Once the Kids Ministry Pastor has had a chance to review it, your family will be contacted to set up a meeting. We are excited to walk this faith journey with you and your child and look forward to hearing from all those who are ready to be obedient in baptism!

Encouragement of our children is one of the greatest things we can do as parents. Hebrews 10:24-25 says this: "Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works…[encouraging] one another, especially now that the day of His return is drawing near." Our Sixth Grade Affirmation Night is designed to provide parents with the opportunity to publicly tell their child all the things they see God doing in their lives and offer their prayers of support as they get ready to enter Junior High. This rite of passage is a great way to send your child off to youth ministry in a way that honors them and affirms the image of God within them!
